Ambition
The egg-processing industry causes 12.000 tons of toxic residual material per day that often ends up in natures and harms people and the environment. With our approach, we can upcycle the residues and transform them into standardized resources for the industry. Additionally we can make use of the membrane and transform it into an exciting and potent technical bioplastic.
Solution
A (Separation plant): The separation by type and the hygienisation contained therein enable the conversion into standardised resources. The chemical-free process and the very low energy requirement are two further features that enable this idea to be scaled up. B (Biogenic limestone): Our biogenic limestone is very homogeneous compared to conventional limestone and has an extremely high percentage of calcium carbonate (95% compared to 60–95%). It also has minimal CO₂ emissions. C (DNA Token): Protegg is the first company to succeed in functionally integrating synthetic DNA with defined information into a material. This allows us to guarantee 100% verification and longevity of protection of the assigned goods (500+ years)
